Privacy Policy

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, including:

• Account details -- name, email address, phone number, business name, and mailing address
• Agreement and parcel data -- lease terms, rent, parcel addresses and legal descriptions, acreage, and FSA farm/tract numbers you enter
• Payment records -- rent due dates, amounts, and paid/unpaid status you track in the app
• Documents and signatures -- lease document content, and, for signed documents, the signer's typed name, timestamp, and IP address
• Messages sent between you and the other party to an agreement
• Anything else you choose to upload, like insurance certificates or soil test results

We also collect some information automatically:

• Device and usage information -- app version, device type, and general diagnostic/crash data
• On mobile, a push notification token, if you enable notifications
• On the web app, session cookies needed to keep you signed in

We don't collect precise location data. A parcel's postal code is used only to show local weather on your dashboard.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• Provide the core service -- storing your agreements, generating and routing documents for signature, tracking payments and deadlines, and delivering messages and notifications
• Show you information relevant to an agreement to the other party you're connected to on it (a farmer and landowner on the same lease see each other's relevant details)
• Process subscription payments, through Stripe
• Send account, security, and service-related emails and push notifications
• Maintain and improve the service, including diagnosing bugs
• Meet legal obligations

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it to serve third-party advertising.

Who sees your information

Information tied to a lease agreement -- its terms, documents, and payment status -- is visible to both the farmer and the landowner(s) connected to that specific agreement. It is not visible to other farmers or landowners you haven't shared an agreement with.

We share information with a small number of service providers who help us run AgTerms:

• Supabase -- database, authentication, and file storage
• Stripe -- subscription billing and payment processing
• Email and push-notification delivery providers, to send the messages described above

These providers can only use your information to perform services for us. We don't share your information with other third parties except as needed to comply with the law, enforce our Terms of Service, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to you).

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. Signed lease documents and their signature records are kept even after an agreement ends, since they're the evidentiary record of what was agreed to -- the same way a paper lease would be kept on file. You can ask us to delete your account and personal information at any time; we'll do so except where we're required to retain records (for example, a signed document that another party still relies on, or financial records we're required to keep).

Your choices

• Update or correct your account information anytime from your profile
• Turn off push notifications in your device settings, or from AgTerms' notification settings
• Delete your account yourself in the app (Profile → Delete account) or on the web (Your profile → Delete account), or ask us to export or delete your data by contacting info@liveatom.com

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and database-level access controls that restrict each user to the data they're actually a party to. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

AgTerms is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll let you know by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
